Geneva has a formal education in Commercial Art, Fine Art, Design & Photography, and has had successful careers as a dance and movement instructor, and in the natural health field. At a young age, she witnessed her mother’s practices of Feng Shui - a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing with the surrounding environment. She holds a certificate in Permaculture - a creative design process based on whole-systems thinking informed by ethics and design principles we can find in nature.
These primary systems, as well as her study of other popular approaches to simplification (notably Apartment Therapy, The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up), have elevated her understanding of our habitual patterns and tendencies. For the last 20+ years, she has been applying those principals to her own life and learned that the key practice to cultivate, is releasing what no longer serves.
Holding on to items unnecessarily gives them power and through her own experiences of releasing that power, her world continues to open and respond in the most generous of ways - allowing her to create a simple, harmonious life.
Geneva has found her passion in applying a fusion of those disciplines which she has dubbed 'Home Shui' to assist others in creating clean, functional and relaxing settings.
Whether you’d like to clean out your garage, get rid of excess clothing, prepare your house for Airbnb or completely redesign your home and office, Geneva can assist you.
